VDI’s opposition against a well-known trademark was upheld by the Trademark Committee

VDI’s dispute resolution department has successfully handled the case of a well known cosmetics company against the registration of a trademark with the word mastic. More particularly, our objection against the trademark was admitted by the trademark committee, which accepted our client’s claims that the word mastic constitutes a descriptive indication with no distinctive character.
